Efficient AI는 엣지 기기와 같이 자원이 제한된 상황에서 효율적인 모델의 추론과 학습을 가능하게 하는 기술입니다. MADE Lab은 이미지 분류, 객체 탐지 등 컴퓨터비전 태스크 뿐만 아니라 자연어처리 모델 등 다양한 모델에 대해 효과적으로 적용 가능한 모델 경량화 기술 및 학습 기술을 연구 개발하고 있습니다.

One of fundamental topics for artificial intelligence is the efficiency of a neural network. This topic includes how to compress a neural network with a minimal loss of accuracy, how to find an efficient model for a target environment, and how to effectively train a neural network model with a small number of data items. Due to the importance of this topic, there are lots of related works. Our lab focuses on pursuing automatic tools for model compression and a better layer-level topology for efficient neural networks. In addition, we have a great interest in defining a model’s capabilities and compressing a model with keeping selected capabilities.
